Anselmo Mine Yard – Butte, MT (406-723-3177)
Interpretive center brings Butte’s mining history to life. Admission $2.00 per person.

Arts Chateau – Butte, MT (406-723-7600)
The historic mansion built by Charles Walker Clark in 1898 has been transformed into a museum with 26-rooms on four floors. The museum displays a diverse collection of artwork, 18th and 19th century furniture, textiles and collectibles.

Berkeley Pit – Butte, MT (406-723-3177 or 1-800-735-6814)
The Berkeley Pit used to be the largest truck-operated open pit copper mine in the U.S. Over the years water has seeped into the pit and reacted with the ore, creating a toxic lake. Despite its lethal water, Berkeley pit is a huge tourist attraction. No admission fee. Open during daylight hours from March – November.

Copper King Mansion – Butte, MT (406-782-7580)
The Copper King Mansion is a National historic place offering a daily bed and breakfast. The mansion was built for William Clark a developer of copper mining in Butte. Tours are also offered and those who choose to stay have a unique opportunity to experience the lifestyle of a very wealthy Montana pioneer.

Granite Mountain Mine Memorial – Butte, MT (1-800-735-6814)
Granite Mountain Mine Memorial is an open-air plaza commemorating the June 8, 1917 loss of 168 men that died in the greatest loss of life in hard rock mining history. The memorial offers a panoramic view of the Continental Divide. Interpretive plaques tell the story of the people, events and times surrounding this tragedy.

Lexington Stamp Mill – Butte, MT (406-723-3177)
Butte's fist stamp mill which ran in 1867 and closed in 1890. No admission fee.

Mai Wah and Chong Tai Buildings – Butte, MT (406-723-3177 or 1-800-735-6814)
The Mai Wah and Wah Chong Tai Buildings used to be noodle houses and laundries run by the Chinese miners. Today they offer exhibits that inform visitors of the Asian history in the West. The first miners in Butte were Chinese.

Mineral Museum – Butte, MT (406-496-4414)
The museum displays include over 1,500 mineral specimens including a 27.5 oz. gold nugget. The Mineral Museum is located on the Montana Tech Campus and overlooks the 100-year Butte Mining District, better know as the Richest Hill on Earth.

Old Number One – Butte, MT (406-723-3177 or 1-800-735-6814)
Take a trolley tour of historic Butte 7 days a week on Old Number One. The tour originates at the Butte Chamber of Commerce. The narrated tour lasts 1½ hours. Tours at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:30 pm daily from June – Labor Day.

Our Lady of the Rockies – Butte, MT (406-494-2656)
Our Lady of the Rockies is a 90-foot statue at the top of the Continental Divide overlooking Butte. The statue is dedicated to all women, especially mothers.

Piccadilly Museum of Transportation Memorabilia & Advertising Art – Butte, MT (406-723-3034)
Memorabilia including a complete 1920's service Station.

St. Lawrence O’Toole Church – Butte, MT (1-800-735-6814)
In 1897 the St. Lawrence O'Toole Church was built from donations of miners and families living on the Butte Hill at a cost of $25,000.

World Museum of Mining – Butte, MT (406-723-7211)
The World Museum of Mining holds mining artifacts as well as ink drawings created by miners. Old mining structures give visitors insight about the miner’s work environment. The machinery and artwork tell of the harsh life of the miners. Open April 1 – October 31 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The Butte Vigilante Rodeo features professional riders compete with all the exciting rodeo events such as bronc riding, bull riding, bareback riding, barrel racing, calf roping, plus lots of clowns.
